Description
A fantastic and rare oak arts and crafts/art nouveau wardrobe as originally retailed by Liberty and Co. Of superb construction in solid English oak, now with a wonderful honey tone and patina. With beautiful design features redolent of the period. The stepped pagoda top is removable for ease of installation. The main body of the wardrobe is of elongated sarcophagus shape. The single door is fitted with its original beveled plate and a series of green glass panes. It opens to access the hanging space , fitted with hooks. Beneath is a single deep drawer. Fitted throughout with beautiful solid copper art nouveau period hardware (handles stamped L and Co to the reverse). This is a very rare item, I have never seen another like it.
