Burr Walnut Serpentine Fronted Bookcase
A splendid serpentine fronted burr walnut bookcase in the Queen Anne style. Of fine construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. The glazed top section has a pair of glazed doors which open to access a painted interior with adjustable shelving. The serpentine fronted base section has a pair of drawers over a pair of cupboard doors. All standing on squat cabriole legs. With herring-bone cross banded detailing throughout, a really charming bookcase. All doors are lockable (keys supplied). Offered for sale in excellent original condition with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.

Chippendale Style Glazed Mahogany Bookcase
A very good mahogany bookcase from the late Victorian period. Well made in solid mahogany in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. The over-sailing cornice is decorated with swags and dentil moldings. The two large glazed doors are embellished with scrolling carved astricals; the open to access a shelved display space. It is of generous proportions and the shelves are all adjustable. The whole piece stands on a base with characteristic carved ball and claw feet.
We are offering this bookcase for sale in very good original condition with a good colour and patina.

Domed Top Burr Walnut Bureau Bookcase
A charming Queen Anne style burr walnut bureau bookcase. Of excellent construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. This lovely bookcase is of slender proportions but still affords good storage/display space. The domed top upper section has a single glazed door (lockable) which opens to access a shelved interior. The door is flanked by a pair of fluted Corinthian columns which terminate in capitols. The bureau itself has a lockable fall which opens to reveal a fitted interior with stationary compartments and series of small drawers and a cupboard. Beneath the fall are two serpentine fronted drawers fitted with their original brass handles. All standing on elegant cabriole legs in solid walnut with carved shell motifs to the knees. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home. Splits into two sections for ease of installation.

A splendid burr walnut bureau bookcase in the early Georgian style. Very well made in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The top section has a pair of glazed doors (lockable , key supplied) which open to access a shelved interior. The shelves are adjustable in height and offer significant display space for your books. The bureau has a fall front which opens to access a fully fitted interior complete with a red leather writing surface. There is an arrangement of 2 short over 2 long , graduated drawers, all fitted with their original charming brass handles. The whole piece is finished with a crisply carved freeze and stands on elegant carved ball and claw feet. We have had this bookcase professionally repolished to a very high standard. Superior Quality Inlaid Mahogany Revolving Bookcase
A superb quality Edwardian period inlaid mahogany revolving bookcase. Whilst not stamped, this bookcase was almost certainly originally made by Maple and Co of London. Of fine construction in a dense grade of mahogany and decorated with cross banding, chequer banding and stringing in boxwood. The top further embellished with an inlaid central fan motif. Revolving freely on an iron clad base which terminates in its original brass and ceramic castors. A splendid pair of William IV bookcases. Made from fine quality solid mahogany timber, now with a warm depth of colour and patina. They have been adapted from a larger piece of furniture. Each bookcase of good , sizeable, proportions , each having a set of 3 adjustable shelves. The upper freezes are decorated with attractive brass mounts, and the bookcases stand true on strong plinths.

French Mahogany Brass Inlaid Bookcase
A splendid French mahogany glazed bookcase of compact proportions from the Empire period. Of good construction in solid mahogany and mahogany veneers onto a solid oak carcas. The bookcase is decorated throughout with inset brass work (moldings and flutings) which is very attractive to the eye. The glazed door (lockable, key supplied) opens to access a display space with 2 adjustable shelves. The door is presently fitted with its original pleated material behind the glass but this could be removed if desired. The top is inset with a white marble which is surrounded by a brass gallery. We have had it sympathetically repolsihed to a very high standard in our workshops.
