Superb Burr Walnut Pedestal Desk
An excellent burr walnut pedestal desk in the early Georgian style. Very well made in solid walnut with stunning burr walnut veneers. The front of the desk is of gently curving break-fronted form. The top is fitted with a sumptuous 3 piece black leather writing surface which is decorated with gilt tooling to the edges. There is a series of 9 drawers (one long central drawer, flanked by 2 pairs of graduated sets of 4 shorter drawers) all fitted with their original ornate brass handles. The whole desk stands on elegant squat cabriole legs with carved detailing to all four sides. Further carved decorations can be found to the top edges and corners. This desk is finished to the rear so it could be free-standing within a room if desired. We have had it sympathetically repolished to a very high standard. It is now offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina.

19th Century Welsh Oak Dresser
A lovely early 19th century oak Welsh dresser. Well made in solid Oak and embellished with mahogany cross banding and chequer banding inlay, with inlaid oval medallions to the cupboard doors. The top section (or rack) with a series of shelving and two spice cupboards , with small drawers beneath. The base section has an arrangement of 3 drawers over 2 cupboard doors. All in all providing ample storage and display capacity. With reeded, canted corners and oval inlaid medallions beneath. The whole piece stands on elegant ogee bracket feet. Offered for sale in excellent condition with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home. Splits into two sections for ease of installation.

French Kingwood Marquetry Vitrine
A superb French Vitrine in kingwood and mahogany. Of good construction and decorated throughout with inlaid detailing, including stringing, and parquetry and floral marquetry panels. This vitrine is further embellished with crisp brass metals mounts. It is of domed top form and has a single door (lockable, key supplied) which opens to access a display space with 4 glass shelves and a cupboard beneath. Pair of Edwardian Serpentine Inlaid Mahogany Tables
An excellent and rare pair of Edwardian serpentine shaped side, or lamp tables. Well made in mahogany and decorated with satinwood inlaid stringing and banding and floral marquetry detailing to the drawer fronts. They are of bold serpentine form and each has a pair of drawers fitted with their original ornate brass handles. They stand well on long, elegant tapering legs which terminate in the original brass and ceramic castors. A splendid flame mahogany serpentine fronted chest on chest, or tallboy, in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Well constructed in solid mahogany with attractive flame mahogany veneers. The cornice with Greek key moldings and drop pendants. With canted corners, which are decorated with blind fretwork. All standing on strong ogee bracket feet. The top section with a series of 4 long graduated drawers. The base section with a brushing slide sitting over 3 long graduated drawers. The drawers are all fitted with their original crisply cast solid brass handles and they are lockable (key supplied). A superb late Victorian period mahogany display cabinet in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Of fine construction in solid mahogany and attractive flame mahogany veneers. The top glazed section has a pair of glazed doors (lockable with key supplied) which open to access a shelved interior. The cabinet sits on an ornate base with carved detailing throughout, a stylised x-frame under-stretcher and "lions paw" feet. The cabinet has canted corners decorated with harebells and crisply carved rams heads. This lovely cabinet is offered for sale in excellent condition. Chippendale Style Walnut Pedestal Desk
A splendid walnut pedestal desk in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Of fine construction in walnut with attractive flame walnut veneers. The rectangular top is fitted with a sumptuous 3 section green leather writing surface which is decorated with gilt tooling. The edge is surrounded with a carved gadrooned border and further carved decoration can be found throughout the desk. There is an arrangement of one long central drawer flanked by a two sets of 4 shorter, graduated drawers. All drawers are fitted with their original brass swan-neck handles. The corners of the desk are canted and the sides are of paneled construction. The whole thing stands on squat cabriole legs terminating in characteristic ball and claw feet. This desk is finished to the reverse so it could be free-standing within a room if desired. We have had this lovely desk sympathetically repolished to a very high standard. It is now offered for sale in excellent overall condition with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home or office.

Decorated throughout with painted detailing in a neo-classical style. The top is fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface. Above this is a super-structure with small drawers and a brass gallery. To the main body of the table is one long central drawer flanked by a pair of shorter drawers. The outline of this desk is of serpentine form. Standing on elegant turned and tapering legs which terminate in their original brass castors. All drawers are fitted with their original solid brass handles, the 3 long drawers are lockable (key supplied). The drawer fronts are all cross banded with herring bone inlay. The top of the desk and the drawer fronts are all cross banded with satinwood. Further inlaid stringing is found throughout, including to the plinths, the sides and back of the desk. As it is finished to the rear it could be free-standing within a room if desired. The desk top is fitted with a sumptuous red leather writing surface , decorated with blind tooling. Edwards & Roberts was founded in 1845, and had premises at 21 Wardour Street London. By 1892 they occupied more than a dozen buildings in Wardour Street, where they continued to trade until the end of the century. They became one of the leading London cabinet makers and retailers working in a variety of styles, both modern and revivalist. Their business also involved retailing, adapting and restoring the finest antique furniture and there are many examples of their earlier furniture with later embellishments bearing their stamp. Edwards & Roberts specialized in marquetry, inlay and ormolu.

Victorian Inlaid Mahogany 7 Piece Salon Suite
A wonderful 7 piece salon suite from the late Victorian period. Comprising of a settee, a pair of armchairs and 4 side chairs. Of fine construction in solid mahogany, with inset rosewood panels decorated with inlaid detailing in satinwood, boxwood and ivorine. Further inlaid stringing in ivorine throughout the suite. It has lovely flowing lines and the inlaid detailing is very fine and crisp. We have had the frames sympathetically repolished to a very high standard, now with a a good rich colour and patina. The original upholstery is in an un-restored condition. We can arrange to get the whole suite reupholstered in a material of your choosing. The cost for this would be 350 plus the cost of 6 meters of material.
