19th Century Welsh Oak Dresser
A lovely early 19th century oak Welsh dresser. Well made in solid Oak and embellished with mahogany cross banding and chequer banding inlay, with inlaid oval medallions to the cupboard doors. The top section (or rack) with a series of shelving and two spice cupboards , with small drawers beneath. The base section has an arrangement of 3 drawers over 2 cupboard doors. All in all providing ample storage and display capacity. With reeded, canted corners and oval inlaid medallions beneath. The whole piece stands on elegant ogee bracket feet. Pair of Edwardian Serpentine Inlaid Mahogany Tables
An excellent and rare pair of Edwardian serpentine shaped side, or lamp tables. Well made in mahogany and decorated with satinwood inlaid stringing and banding and floral marquetry detailing to the drawer fronts. They are of bold serpentine form and each has a pair of drawers fitted with their original ornate brass handles. They stand well on long, elegant tapering legs which terminate in the original brass and ceramic castors. This pair of tables would sit well in a variety of different room scenarios in the modern home, ie living room. dining room hallway etc. We have had them sympathetically repolished to a very high standard and they are now offered for sale in excellent condition with a good rich colour and patina.

A splendid bachelors chest of compact proportions by the renowned maker , Tozer of London. Very well made from solid walnut with stunning beautiful walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas with oak drawer linings. This charming little chest is a faithful representation from the late Victorian period of a Queen Anne period chest. Superb Burr Walnut Pedestal Desk
An excellent burr walnut pedestal desk in the early Georgian style. Very well made in solid walnut with stunning burr walnut veneers. The front of the desk is of gently curving break-fronted form. The top is fitted with a sumptuous 3 piece black leather writing surface which is decorated with gilt tooling to the edges. There is a series of 9 drawers (one long central drawer, flanked by 2 pairs of graduated sets of 4 shorter drawers) all fitted with their original ornate brass handles. The whole desk stands on elegant squat cabriole legs with carved detailing to all four sides. Further carved decorations can be found to the top edges and corners. This desk is finished to the rear so it could be free-standing within a room if desired. We have had it sympathetically repolished to a very high standard. A superb quality Victorian inlaid burr walnut loo table. Of fine construction with a solid walnut base , the top with stunning burr walnut veneers onto a solid mahogany frame. The oval top is decorated with the finest quality inlaid detailing , including a large central motif. The banding to the top is in amboyna, this is matched with similar banding to the skirt and the base. The stunning oval top, can be tilted up and held in place in order to show off its beauty. The solid walnut base has carved decorations and its four legs terminate in their original brass and ceramic castors. A fine quality 9 drawer mahogany pedestal desk by the esteemed firm of Edwards and Roberts of London. Of excellent construction in solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers. The top of the desk and the drawer fronts are all cross banded with satinwood. Further inlaid stringing is found throughout, including to the plinths, the sides and back of the desk. As it is finished to the rear it could be free-standing within a room if desired. The desk top is fitted with a sumptuous red leather writing surface , decorated with blind tooling. We have had this lovely desk sympathetically repolished to a very high standard. Edwards & Roberts was founded in 1845, and had premises at 21 Wardour Street London. By 1892 they occupied more than a dozen buildings in Wardour Street, where they continued to trade until the end of the century. They became one of the leading London cabinet makers and retailers working in a variety of styles, both modern and revivalist. Their business also involved retailing, adapting and restoring the finest antique furniture and there are many examples of their earlier furniture with later embellishments bearing their stamp. Edwards & Roberts specialized in marquetry, inlay and ormolu.

Victorian Inlaid Mahogany 7 Piece Salon Suite
A wonderful 7 piece salon suite from the late Victorian period. Comprising of a settee, a pair of armchairs and 4 side chairs. Of fine construction in solid mahogany, with inset rosewood panels decorated with inlaid detailing in satinwood, boxwood and ivorine. Further inlaid stringing in ivorine throughout the suite. It has lovely flowing lines and the inlaid detailing is very fine and crisp. We have had the frames sympathetically repolished to a very high standard, now with a a good rich colour and patina. The original upholstery is in an un-restored condition. We can arrange to get the whole suite reupholstered in a material of your choosing. The cost for this would be 350 plus the cost of 6 meters of material.
