Description
A wonderful quality burr walnut Queen Anne style bureau by Hamptons of London. Of fine construction in walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The top, the fall front and the drawer fronts are all cross banded. The fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior with a small lockable cupboard, pigeon holes, stationary drawers and a green leather writing surface. Beneath , there are two long drawers fitted with their charming original brass swan-neck handles. All drawers and the fall are lockable with keys supplied. The whole bureau stands on elegant cabriole legs in solid walnut, with carved decorations to the knees. This wonderful quality bureau is offered for sale in excellent original condition with a lovely mellow colour and patina.Dimensions:
