French Vernis Martin Mahogany Vitrine
A splendid late 19th century French mahogany vitrine , decorated in the Vernis Martin style. Of very good construction in solid mahogany (with a good colour and patina) and embellished throughout with crisp ormolu mounts. Decorated with classical hand-painted scenes in the Vernis martin style. The ormolu mounts include a central panel to the top freeze depicting cherubs. The whole cabinet is surmounted by a varigated rouge marble top. The single central glazed door opens to access a lined and shelved interior. The sides of the cabinet are of concave form. French Walnut Bureau Bookcase
A fine quality French bureau bookcase of compact proportions. Of excellent construction with walnut and rosewood veneers onto a solid mahogany carcas. The book matched veneers have been laid to give decorative geometric forms. Further decoration is afforded by inlaid detailing and lovely solid brass mounts and banding. The top glazed section is surmounted by a solid brass gallery, the pair of glazed doors open to access a shelved interior. The bottom section has a fall front which opens to reveal a fitted interior. This sits over an arrangement of 3 long drawers fitted with charming original solid brass handles. The whole piece stands on elegant tapering legs which terminate in brass caps. An excellent French Louis XV style walnut framed day bed. Of good construction in solid walnut, now with a great colour and patina. The frame is of scrolling style with floral carved decorations. A superb French Art Nouveau period revolving two tier table with removable tray top. Whilst not signed , we are fairly certain that this table comes from the workshops of Emile Galle. Well made in walnut with flowing lines redolent of the period. The round top and the lower tier are decorated with inset organic marquetry inlay. The top tier revolves and is fitted with a removable glass and brass tray top. A splendid George I design burr walnut card table. Dating from the late 19th century. Well constructed in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The shaped top is cross banded and folds over to reveal a baize lined playing surface and dished out counter holders to the corners. Whilst open , the top is supported by a swing-out back leg. The long elegant legs are of cabriole form with carved shell motifs to the knees and terminating in ball and claw feet. George I Style Mahogany Bureau Bookcase
A superb mahogany bureau bookcase of slender proportions in the George I style. Dating to circa 1880 and of fine construction in solid mahogany and attractive flame mahogany veneers. The top section with a shaped domed top surmounted by a crest, over a pair of glazed doors which open to access an interior with adjustable shelving. To the bottom is a pair of pull-out candle slides. The bureau with a fall which opens to reveal an interior fitted with a well, stationary compartments, a lockable cupboard and a secret drawer. This sits over an arrangement of 3 drawers, fitted with charming brass pull handles. All standing on imposing cabriole legs with carved detailing. Doors are lockable , keys supplied. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops to a very high standard. Now offered for sale in excellent overall condition with a wonderful colour and patina. Splits into two sections for ease of installation.

George I Style Walnut Stool
A very good walnut stool dating from the late Victorian period. Very well constructed in solid walnut in the George I style. With cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet and with carved shell motifs to the knees. The frame is strong and sturdy and the walnut has a great colour and patina. The drop-in upholstered seat is in serviceable condition but would benefit from being re-covered.

George II Style Burr Walnut Kneehole Desk
A splendid late 19th century period burr walnut kneehole desk in the George II style. Very well constructed in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. The rectangular top , sides and drawer fronts are cross banded with herring-bone inlay. There is an arrangement of one long central drawer over 2 banks of 3 shorter drawers all fitted with their original brass drop handles. To the kneehole there is a cupboard. A superb George III mahogany chest of drawers of serpentine form. This is a splendid chest, with elegant lines and of fine quality construction and of generous proportions. Finely made in solid mahogany, now with a wonderful mellow colour and patina. The serpentine shaped top is edged with ebony inlay. George III Satinwood Bow Fronted Chest Commode
A superb George III bow fronted chest commode of four graduated drawers on splay bracket feet in stunning fiddleback satinwood accented with ebony stringing and moulding , circa 1790. Of generous proportions and with an elegant gently sweeping bowed front. Of fine construction with thick lavish fiddleback satinwood veneers onto a solid oak and mahogany carcas. The fiddeleback veneers are found to the top, sides , drawer fronts , dividing rails and feet - a very expensive cut of timber with a stunning ripple pattern effect. All drawers are lined in solid quarter sawn English oak in correct period fashion, immaculately dovetailed front and back. Other indications of the high quality is the use of mahogany for the construction of the drawer rails and drawer stops and more importantly the satinwood faces of the drawer fronts are also veneered onto solid single pieces of curved and shaped mahogany. Fitted with its original locks , the solid brass handles are later replacements. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in splendid condition, with a rich colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home. A truly fine quality piece of English Georgian furniture.

George IV Flame Mahogany Secretaire
A superb quality late regency/early George IV mahogany secretaire. Of fine construction in solid Cuban mahogany with attractive flame mahogany veneers and tulip wood banding. With reeded columns and standing on magnificent "hairy paw" lions feet cast in solid brass. The secretaire is fitted with original lions mask ring pull handles. It opens to reveal a fully fitted interior with internal drawers in sycamore and further stationary compartments and a green baise writing surface. The secretaire sits above a pair of paneled cupboard doors which open (lockable, key supplied) to reveal a shelved interior. This piece of furniture is of the highest quality, and is offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina.
