Early Victorian Mahogany Table by Johnstone and Jeanes
A fine quality early Victorian table by the prestigious makers Johnstone and Jeanes of New Bond Street, London. Of excellent construction in mahogany and with the top fitted with its original leather writing surface. There is a drawer to the freeze and the whole table sits well on turned and fluted legs terminating in splayed feet (fitted with their original brass castors). This lovely table could be used as a writing, side or lamp table in different room scenarios within the modern home. It is offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina ; cleaned and waxed in our workshops, ready to go straight into the home.

Johnstone & Jeanes were makers of fine quality furniture from the formation of their partnership in 1842. Johnstone had been in partnership with Robert Jupe who together patented the metamorphic dining table, but after a falling out Jupe went his own way.

Johnstone & Jeanes exhibited at all the major exhibitions in London in 1851 and 1862 and also in Paris in 1878. The Royal Collection has a piece of Johnstone & Jeanes furniture, a walnut veneered table.

Early Victorian Mahogany Wardrobe
A very good example of an early Victorian mahogany two door wardrobe. Made from a very high grade of solid mahogany timber with attractive flame veneers to the door fronts. The pair of doors are decorated with arched panels and are flanked by columns, capped with corbels. The doors are lockable (key supplied). They open to access a fitted interior , with full height hanging to one side and a series of 4 trays to the other, with a long , deep drawer below. The wardrobe is surmounted by a architectural stepped cornice. This lovely wardrobe is offered fro sale in excellent condition. It has a great colour and patina, and is ready to go straight into the home.

Early Victorian Mahogany Wot Not
A splendid quality early Victorian period mahogany 3 tier wot not, or dumb waiter. Of fine construction in an excellent grade of solid mahogany timber , now with a wonderful colour and patina. There are 3 tiers supported by turned columns. Each tier has a drawer, (an unusual feature with most wot nots having just one drawer to the base tier). All standing on its original brass castors. Early Victorian Rosewood Library Table
A fine quality rosewood library table from the early Victorian period. Of very good construction in solid rosewood and with attractive rosewood veneers onto a solid mahogany frame. The bow-ended rectangular top sits over a pair of drawers, fitted with their original bun handles. The table is finished to the rear so could be free-standing within a room if required. The legs are embellished with crisp, bold carved detailing and the feet terminate in their original brass and ceramic castors. We have had this table sympathetically repolished in our workshops. An excellent walnut framed chaise longue from the early Victorian period. Of fine construction from a high grade of dense, solid walnut timber, now with a lovely warm colour and patina. The frame is decorated with carved detailing and has an eye-catching and unique feature of a carved roundel to the head-end. Ebonised Credenza with Porcelain Plaques
An attractive mid-Victorian ebonised credenza. Of bow ended form, with corinthian columns flanking a central cupboard door. The two , bow ended glazed doors open to access shelved display space. The central cupboard door opens to reveal shelved storage space behind. The credenza is decorated with good crisp brass ormolu mounts, geometric satinwood banding and inlay , and a series of lovely sevres porcelain plaques. The three smaller plaques in the freeze are of floral design , whereas the larger central plaque is a scene of classical lovers.

Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Display Cabinet
A very good quality Edwardian mahogany display cabinet. Well made in solid mahogany with decorative mahogany and flame mahogany veneers. Further decoration is afforded by the inlaid stringing and banding throughout. There is a single glazed door which opens to access a lined interior with 3 plate glass shelves. The top of the cabinet is decorated with a panel inset with flame mahogany veneers surrounding a central satinwood oval. The bottom section has a pair of cupboard doors which open to access a storage cupboard. The door fronts are decorated with mahogany veneers in a geometric pattern. All doors are lockable with a key being supplied. The whole cabinet stands on elegant tapering legs which terminate in spade feet. Whilst not stamped we are fairly certain that this cabinet is of sufficient quality to have been originally made by either Waring and Gillow or Maple and Co.
