Domed Top Burr Walnut Bureau Bookcase
A charming Queen Anne style burr walnut bureau bookcase. Of excellent construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. This lovely bookcase is of slender proportions but still affords good storage/display space. The domed top upper section has a single glazed door (lockable) which opens to access a shelved interior. The door is flanked by a pair of fluted Corinthian columns which terminate in capitols. The bureau itself has a lockable fall which opens to reveal a fitted interior with stationary compartments and series of small drawers and a cupboard. Beneath the fall are two serpentine fronted drawers fitted with their original brass handles. All standing on elegant cabriole legs in solid walnut with carved shell motifs to the knees. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home. Splits into two sections for ease of installation.

A splendid burr walnut bureau bookcase in the early Georgian style. Very well made in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The top section has a pair of glazed doors (lockable , key supplied) which open to access a shelved interior. The shelves are adjustable in height and offer significant display space for your books. The bureau has a fall front which opens to access a fully fitted interior complete with a red leather writing surface. There is an arrangement of 2 short over 2 long , graduated drawers, all fitted with their original charming brass handles. The whole piece is finished with a crisply carved freeze and stands on elegant carved ball and claw feet. We have had this bookcase professionally repolished to a very high standard. It is now offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina.

A charming walnut corner cabinet in George I style. Well made with a lovely mellow colour and patina. There is a glazed door to the top and a cupboard door to the base. A very good burr walnut linen press in the queen Anne style. Of good construction in walnut, with attractive burr walnut veneers. The double domed top is decorated with carved , scrolling detailing and surmounted by carved crest. The twin doors (lockable, key supplied) open to access a fitted interior. There are a pair of drawers beneath providing further storage capacity. This press offers a good deal of storage space in a fairly compact unit. It stands on carved squat cabriole legs. We have had this item sympathetically repolished to a very high standard and it is now offered for sale in excellent condition. A very rare and unusual mahogany bijouterie table , or cabinet, from the Edwardian period. Of fine construction in solid mahogany and embellished with inlaid stringing detailing throughout. With a glazed dome top, with one side opening to gain access to the display space. The opening door is lockable with the key being supplied. With further inlaid detailing to each of the four sides. Standing on elegant slender turned legs which are united by a stablising x-frame under-stretcher. Early 19th Century Mahogany Partners Writing Table
A charming mahogany 4 drawer writing table from the early part of the 19th century. Well made in solid mahogany which has a great mellow colour and honest patina. We have simply had this table cleaned and waxed in our workshops so it oozes original character and charm. The rectangular top is fitted with a sumptuous red leather hide writing surface. The two pairs of opposing drawers are fitted with brass hoop handles and the turned legs terminate in their original brass caps and castors. This lovely writing table is not over-large so would fit comfortably into the modern day home. It is offered for sale in excellent original condition.

Early 19th Century Mahogany Writing Table
A very good early 19th century writing table in solid mahogany. Of good solid construction, with a nice colour and patina. The top is fitted with a nice green leather writing surface, decorated with gilt tooling. There is an arrangement of one long and 3 short drawers, giving ample storage space. The whole table stands on elegant turned legs which terminate on good quality brass and ceramic castors. Early Victorian "Gillows" Rosewood Work Table
A splendid work/sewing/writing table from the early Victorian period. Of fine quality construction in solid rosewood with attractive rosewood veneers (onto a solid mahogany frame) bearing many of the characteristic hallmarks of Gillows of Lancaster. This piece is not stamped but we are confident of its pedigree. The pair of flaps can be raised and held in place with shaped loppers. To the front, a single drawer sits over a pull-out sewing bag. The drawer contains a pull-out writing slope, with a retractable pen and ink tray (a Gillows feature). The writing slope is fitted with its original Moroccan leather. The table stands on characteristic (Gillows) legs in solid rosewood which are united by an under-stretcher. This table is of the finest quality. It is now offered for sale in excellent original condition with a marvellous mellow colour and patina.

A superb burr walnut writing table, or desk, from the early Victorian period. Of very fine construction in solid walnut and with attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid mahogany carcas. The writing surface is fitted with a sumptuous tan coloured leather , complete with gilt tooled decoration. The super-structure is supported by barley twist columns , has a mirrored back and a brass gallery to the top. There main body of the table has a series of 3 drawers and stands on stylish barley twist turned legs which are united by a matching cross stretcher. The feet terminate in their original brass castors. It is finished to the rear so could be free-standing within a room if desired. The arched top mirror is in very good order and is fully adjustable as to angle of pitch. The mahogany frame is splendid in its ornate detailing.
