Description
A very pretty late Victorian period painted satinwood writing desk. Very well constructed in solid satinwood with attractive satinwood veneers and of serpentine fronted form. The drawer fronts cross banded and the whole desk decorated throughout with lovely floral painted detailing. The super structure with 2 stationary drawers. The main body of the desk with one long central drawer flanked by 2 pairs of shorter drawers, these 5 drawers are all lockable (key supplied). The desk top fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface, complete with gilt tooled decorations to the surrounds. All standing on elegant square tapering legs, terminating in solid brass castors. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a very good colour and patina.Dimensions
