Description
A fine quality late Victorian period inlaid mahogany parlour cabinet. Of excellent construction by the renowned firm of Rumney and Love of Liverpool. Made in a quality dense grade of solid mahogany timber, now with a lovely colour and patina. The cabinet is decorated throughout with fine , intricate, inlaid detailing. There is also some art nouveau influenced stylised floral carving. The mirror back can be detached from the base section for ease of transportation and installation. The base section has two drawers over a pair of cupboard doors, all flanking a central glazed cabinet door. Standing on elegant tapering legs which are united by an under-tier giving strength and rigidity.
