Description
An excellent burr walnut pedestal desk of generous proportions. Of very good construction in the Queen Anne style with attractive burr walnut veneers. The desk top is fitted with a sumptuous 3 panel brown leather which is decorated with gilt tooling. There is an arrangement of one long central drawer flanked by two sets of graduated shorter drawers. All drawers are fitted with their original brass swan-neck handles. The whole desk stands on short cabriole legs with carved shell decorations to the knees. We have had this desk sympathetically repolished to a very high standard and it now has a wonderful colour and patina. It is finished to the rear so it could be free standing within a room if desired.Dimensions:
